All the clocks and bowls here are created using polymer clay. Many different techniques are employed, resulting from constant experimentation with this versatile medium. All the clocks in this section have quartz movements, which use one AA battery.

As with all of the other polymer clay art on this site, no two pieces are ever exactly the same. Although similar items can be created, they will always be different from any of the others. All measurements are approximate.

Fantastic canework clock in psychedelic orange and purple! 270mm x 140mm.

 

This quirky, faux wood clock, with its hands on hands, is great fun. My inspiration came from a similar idea by another artist. Unfortunately I can't find the book I saw it in, so cannot credit them just yet. 220mm square

 

   
 

Copper coloured faux leather, topped with many layers of copper leaf and translucent clay. 150mm x 190mm.

 

This lovely clock has a faux wood back with petrolgyphs impressed into the surface. Topped with an overlay of multicolored inks and copper leaf. 310mm x 240mm

A pair of red dragons grace the surface of this fantastic clock. Behind them are layer upon layer of metallic and translucent clay.

     
 

A fabulous silver and mauve clock, inspired by chinese dragons. Textured and highlighted with mica powders. 170mm x 230mm.

 

Petroglyphs stamped into the background of this clock contrast with the shining, almost 3d central dial. With the addition of a writhing snake to finish it off.

     
 
 

The canework on the inside of this bowl was inspired by tree seeds. A further layer of copper leaf twinkles out from below their semi-traslucent surface. 240mm diam.

 

Many layers of copper leaf and translucent clay give this lovely mokume gane bowl a very organic feel. 240mm diam.
